As more criminals start to pass away from sudden heart attacks, most would start to wonder what the cause is or who is causing it. Some people might think it isn’t all that bad, criminals who have committed such vile acts are brought what they deserve. Or some might think that whoever is causing this is no different than the criminals and should be held accountable and punished for their actions.
The new game “Death Note: Killer Within” is based on the Manga and Anime by the same name, where a high school student who finds a notebook that can kill people if their name is written in it, then takes advantage of this power. The game is the concept of Among Us, where there is someone or a group of people killing others, and the rest have to find out who is doing it.
“Death Note: Killer Within” is a multiplayer game where players can play with up to ten others, and they can either be on Kira’s side or L. Kira and those who follow him try to kill as many criminals as they can with the Death Note without getting caught by the other team. Or you can be with L and his team, which are the investigators, trying to find the identity of Kira and arrest them.
Playing as Kira is more fun if you’re on Kira’s team because players can try to find the identities of the investors by stealing IDs and writing their names in the Death Note. This removes them from the game and gives a player a lower chance of being suspected to be Kira. But f a player is on L’s team they can suspect players who you think are Kira and they can be arrested and removed from the game. It’s more fun and easier trying to not get caught than being the detective and just trying to find who’s the killer.
The game is worth playing, they have a nice selection of characters you can play as and the animation is great. Although sometimes it feels like Kiras’ side has the higher chance of winning in most games because it’s hard to look innocent because there are not a lot of players. Besides the minor cons, I overall enjoyed the game because of the connection to the books, the great animation,and the community; however, it can become really addictive. I feel that if you enjoyed Among Us and like Death Note you should play this because it’s a nice combination of the two.
