Catherine (Cat) Ruiz is a sophomore at Silver Creek High School. Having never taken journalism, She hopes to take the skills that she acquires, and put them to use in a career she pursues. Being inspired be her peers, she’s taking a leap into a new sport. Finding joy in softball, she’s looking to take on more new fun exciting challenges. Fast forwarding to now, she is  currently writing a poetry book. Expanding on her vocabulary, she’s grown a love for tea. When she’s not writing, she enjoys keeping up her fitness by running or yoga. This semester her goal is to grow by focusing more on mental health.
