Kate Smith, Writer
Kate Smith is a 9th grader at Silver Creek high school. She plays as a right side and middle on the Jr. Varsity volleyball team. This being her first year in high school, she has not yet taken journalism but took a similar class in middle school and really liked it. Some of her passions besides volleyball include art, reading, working out, friends, traveling and puzzles. Looking more into this school year, Kate is excited for biology and integrated. Her goal is to get above a 3.5 GPA and get A’s and B’s. Some more facts about Kate is that she is the oldest of 4. She has 24 cousins on her dad’s side and 0 on her moms. This will be her 7th year playing volleyball, and she’s lived in Longmont her whole life.
