Officer Douglas:
Yes, we are “sworn” officers for The City of Longmont. “Sworn” staff means that we are certified police officers as defined by the State of Colorado and authorized to enforce state and local laws. We also have gone to additional training to be School Resource Officers. Both Officer Stallings and I have 14 years of police experience. This includes attending a police academy plus field training and ongoing training. In the summers or school vacations, you might even see us working the street here in Longmont.
